subVERSE

Before turning his hand to producing and directing for the London stage,
Open Secret season
producer Tod Higginson spent a year as technical director on subVERSE, a monthly evening of political theatre shorts.  Founded by Matthew Hahn and Adrian Page, subVERSE quickly hit its stride with a combination of ruthless satire, provocative drama, top-notch writing and high-class performance.

Following its premiere in November 2004 at London's Chelsea Theatre, subVERSE took up residency at London's Theatre 503 with a monthly show, and also made a successful transfer to a nightly show, alternating two completely different programmes, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2005.

During his time as technical director, Tod provided sound, lighting, video projection and photography for 15 full length shows made up of short theatre pieces.

subVERSE is currently on sabbatical, but video recordings of past shows will begin to make their way onto the internet in the near future.  In the meantime, find out more about the objectives and history of subVERSE HERE.
